My other project

Hi, I´m currently working another project witch I call www.GamerToPro.com witch is basically a blog where you can watch me turning from regular amature game player into professional game creator only using the internet as my source of knowledge.  I started out testing Game Maker Lite version and it was very nice and cool to use, but I needed a better product so I tested Unity3D and it rocks.  There are still some learning process going on so this project is going to take a long time, when I´m finished with the game I will create a tutorials, scripts in the learning center of the site witch you can watch how I did this.  I also have a video blog about this so you can watch me talk about game stuff.

It has been very hard the few past months because I have been working and working, and working late so there has been no time to blog or anything, I was going to create some App-V videos but the work and family had the priority.  I´m still going to post some tutorials on App-V and still wondering about the book.  I´m currently thinking about creating the App-V book in e-book format and sell it as a app on Ipad or maybe soon on Windows 8 Tablet hopefully.

New videos available soon

I´ve been working on a few projects for Application Virtualization and hopefully I will be able to release them soon. The first project is basicly learning App-V from the planning point to fully setup Application Virtualization enviroment, this project is in video form and will be released free for all on my youtube channel.  The second project is a small book, I call it "Ultimate Survivors Guide to Microsoft Application Virtualization", it is basicly everything you need to know how to fix common problems in Application Virtualization and how to understand the basics to fixing issues in Application Virtualization.  I´ve not set any release date but hopefully it will be finished soon.

Office 2010 App-V Deployment Kit vs Office 2010 App-V Deployment Kit

Yes, I was virtualizing Office 2010 with Office 2010 App-V Deployment Kit and I just had some issues with the deployment kit when I noticed that I did not have the correct deployment kit so If you get an error in the installation of Office (while virtualizing) and you get an message saying "Error 1920. Services Office Software Protection Platform failed to start", then you problably don´t have the correct deployment kit so here is a small solution for you to know witch deployment kit you should use versus Office + OS. You can click on the link and it will redirect you on the right file witch you can download the deployment kit file.

Installing Forefront UAG DirectAccess

I´m installing Forefront UAG DirectAccess server, it is a real pain.  It takes alot of planning and testing.  I´ve been doing this for a few days and I´m getting closer to finish this.  Still have some problems with iphttps tunnel and teredo, well at least it cannot be enabled both at the same time, and also even if I can connect to the resources the DirectAccess Connectivity Assistant says that it is not working correcly. Just a few configuration issues and then I´m done.  Next is to enable NAP on the DirectAccess Server, and such.

Problems with the blog

There has been some issues with the blog so I think that they had to restore some of the data but it was not quite correct because I made some changes to the blog but now they are gone.  I´m going to fix that now.

Great Day!

I think I had a great presentation with some demos of app-v and med-v today, I was really stressed because this was my first lecture for the public, well at least I was stressed the first 10 minutes but the next 40 minutes was okey.  I also won 1st prize in weight loss challange, I lost 12,5 kilos in 12 weeks and it was hard but I said to myself that I would win this challange no matter what.  Well I´m going to put my presentation and demos here tomorrow, it will be in icelandic.
